Ty Ritter, fresh from his service in the Marine Corps, goes
to work for Robert Anthony, a self-made casino mogul who is one of the bosses of The Syndicate.
Ty's world is Robert's world. Robert's business ventures - and personal
alliances and animosities - touch on every aspect of life in Las Vegas - from corporate boardrooms and City Hall to strip
bars and fleabag transient motels.
Ty works it all - from the glittering public facade that the whole world
sees - to the malevolent and violent underbelly that is so carefully shielded from scrutiny.
Vegas is literally a cash cow - and Robert and the other Syndicate bosses
will do anything to protect their investments.
The Mob is still very much a presence in town. Even though most of
them are resigned to the fact that they are no longer in charge - there are some who still dream of being back on top - and
others who are ready to take action to make sure those dreams come true.
The Mob is still responsible for creating Las Vegas - and still commands
respect. Connected visitors are treated with kid gloves - unless they try to throw their weight around too openly and abusively.
Then it's up to Ty and guys like him to handle the situation.
